Peppermint - cats hate the smell of peppermint oil. You can get in health food stores and use it to my plants for my cat to keep. I do not see why he could not use on a carpet. Only the first test to see whether your ad is displayed, and has no objection.

My cat does this for my new wallpaper. We find that the easiest and best to do something to a cardboard scratching board catnip that has to get him. EXTRA catnip and our 2 cats scratch the heck out of him. PETsMART four-pack of catnip that has all the essentials for $ 9.99. Thus, the cats will win the map and out of the carpet, new wallpaper, furniture and whatever they decide who the hell scratch from scratch.
Go to www.petsmart.com Scratchboard and research. GOOD LUCK!

Buy a scratching of the cardboard, which are sold in almost every shop. My cats love it. And you can attract them. Then let the carpet, is accustomed to Kitty, re-use the spatula to.

Get a scratch pad for your cat. Wal-Mart sells a notebook called Super Scratcher. Comes with catnip in the grooves of the mat. The smallest is about $ 5. The largest is just over $ 9
My cat used to make a living and dining room chairs re-sharpen their claws. Now, use the carpet from scratch every day. Only "train" your cat scratching the carpet. Every time I tried to understand him scratching the carpet, just say "no", they take and take him to the canvas again. They did not extend his legs, his paws and zero for new carpet .... finally learn their own ways. ... You can also try with a string or a toy and run play on the carpet. Usually when cats play, they extend their claws a bit. So your cat "Dig In" According to the toy when it is on the table. Your cat will eventually get used to the texture and begins to sharpen claws.
Do you agree with the jet would not have all day? Most recommend the use of aerosolsevery day b / c it takes only 12 to 24 hours anyway. So if you every two days instead of every day, this may be why your cat using your carpet as a scratching pad.
Also, try keeping a water jet. So, if you catch your cat in the law, only a small fountain in it. Most cats do not like water, and this can cause your cat to stay away from the carpet.
Good luck!
